JULY 24, 2024 IS our next MARKET DAY!!
MARKET DAY AND TIME: Every Wednesday from 1:30-6:00 p.m.
LOCATION: The Historic Train Depot on Seminary Street in downtown Richland Center, across from Kwik Trip.
PARKING: Parking is available in the depot parking lot and on the nearby streets.
We ask that depot parking spots closest to the market be reserved for those with limited mobility.
STARTING TIME: Listen for the bell; when you hear it ring, you’ll know that the market is open and ready to begin. No early sales; we start promptly at 1:30 and close at 6:00 p.m.
PRODUCTS: We are an all-food/fresh flower market. On JULY 24, we hope to have bedding plants, flowers, baked goods (including lots of breads, cookies, muffins, pies + more), honey, broccoli, cabbage, spring lettuces, potatoes, greens, tomatoes, onions, cucumbers, maple syrup, eggs, and meats. As the season progresses we will add more vendors, both new and returning.
We accept EBT/SNAP benefits and Senior Vouchers/WIC. To receive EBT/SNAP benefits, bring your Quest card to the Market Information table.
THIS WEEK IS BONUS BUCKS WEEK!
Check your EBT/SNAP account to make sure you have the funds you are requesting. Then, come to the Information Table to use your Quest card for purchases. For every dollar you receive from EBT you will receive double that up to $10. For example, if you request $5 you will receive $10; if you request $15 you will receive $25; if you request $50 you will receive $60, and so on. The BONUS BUCKS must only be spent on fresh fruits and vegetables.
Check with the local Department of Health and Human Services to see if you qualify for Senior Vouchers/WIC. Vouchers are good for fresh fruits and vegetables at the market sold by participating vendors. Look for the yellow sign by a vendor's booth to see if they participate in the Senior Voucher Program.
The Market Information Table is also where you can receive your Youth Food Tokens. Every time a youth ages 4-17 comes to the market they can receive $2 in fruit and vegetable tokens to use anytime during the season.
The popular Boomerang shopping bag program continues! New Boomerang bags will be distributed for a sliding scale fee starting at $5. Each time you bring your Boomerang bag to the market to use again, you will receive a coupon good for any market product. Available at the Information Table. These sturdy cloth bags help cut down on the use of plastic bags!
