* The Richland Area Farmers’ Market will be in town
WEDNESDAY OCTOBER 9
at the Historic Train Depot in downtown Richland Center,
across the street from Kwik Trip. 1:30-6:00pm
*We are an all-food/fresh flower market.
THIS WEEK we hope to have fresh flowers, lots of breads and baked goods
(cookies, pies, muffins +), apples, green beans, onions, garlic (black and regular), herbs, peppers, potatoes, radishes, tomatoes, mushrooms,
kohlrabi, greens, ground cherries,
maple syrup, honey, canned goods, winter squash,
pumpkins, gourds, eggs, and meats and more!!
This week, OCTOBER 9, will be our last market of the season!
*How do you know when we're ready to start the market? Listen for the bell; when you hear it ring, you’ll know that the market is open and ready to begin. No early sales; we start promptly at 1:30 and close at 6:00 pm. We want everyone to have a fair chance to purchase what's at the market!
*Parking is available in the depot parking lot and on the nearby streets.
*Our market accepts EBT/SNAP benefits and Senior vouchers. Check your EBT/SNAP account to make sure you have the funds you are requesting. Then, come to the Information Table to use your Quest card for purchases.
To use your Senior vouchers, look for vendors with the yellow sign by their booth to show they accept Senior vouchers. Senior vouchers are good through October 31. These vouchers are good only for fresh fruits, fresh vegetables and fresh herbs.
*For youth ages 4-17 come to the Information Table to receive two $1 food tokens. Tokens are good only for fruit and vegetables and can be used all season. A big thank you to the Rotary Club of Richland County for sponsoring our Youth Food Token Program this season! If you don’t spend all your tokens over the last two markets, be sure to save them for next season!
*The popular Boomerang shopping bag program continues! New Boomerang bags can be purchased for $5 or more. Each time you bring your Boomerang bag to the market to use again, you will receive a coupon good for any market product. Available at the Information Table. These sturdy cloth bags help cut down on the use of plastic bags!

(see Jake Finders under our tab, More.)
All ages.
If you already have found Jake, come to the Information Table
to pick up your certificate! AND, if you've found Jake more than once, come to the Information Table to pick up a star that you can add to your certificate!
This is JAKE!
We send a HUGE thank you to William Padilla at the Richland Center WCCU (Westby Co-op Credit Union) for translating our Farmers' Market brochure into Spanish! NOTE: new hours 1:30-6:00pm. *Horas nuevas para 2024: 1:30-6:00pm*
